WG Wearne restates FY17 financial loss estimation

Construction materials company WG Wearne on Friday said it had incorrectly calculated its losses for the financial year ended February 28.

In a revised trading statement, the company said it now expected its results to reflect a basic loss a share of between 9.5c and 10.6c, up from the loss of 7.3c and 8.9c a share reported earlier in the week.

It is also expected that WG Wearne’s results will reflect a headline loss a share of between 16c and 17c.

On Thursday, the company estimated a 14c to 15.5c headline loss a share.
