Canadian miner Wesdome Gold is on track to achieve the midpoint of its guidance of 160 000 oz to 180 000 oz, thanks to increasing operational momentum.

The company on Thursday reported a strong third quarter, producing 109 305 oz – up from 102 504 oz in the same quarter of 2023.

Both the Eagle River and Kiena mines have shown an improvement.

President and CEO Anthea Bath noted that the Eagle River mine was particularly strong, benefiting from improved access to high-grade ore, resulting in higher-than-planned mill throughput.

“Ramp development at depth along the 300 Zone continues to track ahead of plan, ensuring consistent access to high-grade ore through the remainder of the year and into 2025,” she said.

At Kiena, Wesdome is making progress in mining high-grade ore from the 129-level horizon and expects to finish the year on a strong note, added Bath.

“Our focus remains on improving execution consistency and achieving key milestones, including the development of the Presqu'île exploration ramp and advancing the Kiena Deep ramp to level 136, which will unlock a new mining horizon and enable us to explore extensions of the orebody.”
