Wacker Neuson expands sales activities with online channel

"Ultimately, the customers always decide when and whom they want to contact. We are now offering customers another convenient way to our products and services, which they can access around the clock whenever they want.
Our e-store also offers many important features that make the purchasing decision easier, such as a product configurator, accessories and attachments as well as spare parts for our products," says Dieter Freisler, regional president of Europe. The new e-store supplements the established sales channels.
"Personal contact with our customers was always an important part of our success," Dieter Freisler continues. "Virtual contact via the e-store does not replace the direct advice from a professionally trained employee. However, we know that many of our customers first want to find information online, configure a machine, check the availability or prices or order a spare part directly – and all of this around the clock. At the same time, there are many customers who make repeat purchases and already know exactly what they need. Entirely new possibilities are opened up to them now by the fact that we are oriented to their needs."
After a brief registration and a log in, customers in the Wacker Neuson e-store can order products, accessories, spare parts as well as services rendered online at the conditions provided. Another function is the simple spare parts search and the option to order directly via the spare parts catalog for all Wacker Neuson products. Blueprints are stored to easily identify the required spare part. In addition, customers receive real-time information about the availability of the products and can track their purchase order.
The delivery of spare parts and construction equipment is done as fast as it is normally, usually on the next business day. In addition, customers can individually configure larger machines and make non-binding inquiries, similar to a car configurator. In order to make the ordering process as simple as possible, it is possible to directly upload order lists from an Excel file. In addition, customised default templates can be created and entered in the ordering system.
With the new online offer, Wacker Neuson is responding to the changed information and purchasing behavior of its customers. Accordingly, more than half of all online purchases are made before visiting a representative office. Another trend can be observed with the purchase decisions. The majority of customers inform themselves online before deciding to make a purchase offline, i.e. on site at the sales station. With the new e-store, customers can now choose more flexibly through which sales channel and at what time they want to get in touch with Wacker Neuson.
The new sales channel therefore creates a seamless accessibility to the company for its customers.
