Versatile agricultural machinery from compact construction machinery manufacturer Wacker Neuson aims to ease farm workflows and increase productivity, and will be displayed at Nampo Harvest Day, in the Free State.
The company offers an extensive range of machinery, including skid-steer loaders, compact excavators, all-wheel-steer loaders, telescopic- boom all-wheel steer loaders and telescopic handlers for use in agricultural applications.
Wacker Neuson Africa regional president Eugene Brown reports that the company’s agricultural market share outside South Africa’s borders has grown. “In Namibia for instance, Wacker Neuson’s all-wheel-steer loaders and telescopic handlers are used with great success for scrub clearing to unlock overgrown, valuable farm land,” he says. The 750T series of all-wheel- steer loaders with telescopic- booms are able to load shredded scrub onto trucks, undeterred by the stresses of multiple high- frequency loading cycles and hot and dusty conditions.
Economy savings are not only achieved through the machine’s performance, but inhere in the whole package to deliver a cost- effective agricultural solution that enables farmers to reap all the benefits associated with lowest overall total cost-of-ownership.
“Our machines deliver what farmers want – maximum productivity with minimum input costs. “In other words, a unit that performs reliably and efficiently, is easy to use, needs little maintenance and is inexpensive to operate,” notes Brown.
With a vast selection of attachments, the machines deliver compact solutions for virtually any agricultural application, from stacking bales and bush clearing, to loading trucks and drilling holes for fencing. “They have proven to be more than a match for our unique local agricultural conditions,” he says.
The machines’ compact dimensions, coupled with a tight turning circle and perfect stability pro- vided by the all-wheel steering, ensure safe and effortless maneouverability around a farm, allowing easy access to tight and confined spaces.
Brown notes that the comprehensiveness of the range is another fundamental strength. The largest Wacker Neuson 1150 series wheel loader will make light work of any application that requires an overload height of over 3 m, while the company’s smaller 350 series wheel loader is a reliable and versatile everyday helper on the farm. This fuel economical unit is ideal for mucking out barns and cleaning feeding corridors. “Farmers have reported substantial yearly savings on diesel owing to the unit’s low fuel consumption,” he says.
The Wacker Neuson compact equipment range will be showcased at Nampo 2014 at stand number 249.
