Theunis Bouwer from Ventersdorp is the lucky recipient of a brand-new Massey Ferguson tractor, compliments of the Engen Win a Tractor competition.

The handover of the R465 000 tractor took place on 19 February at the Ventersdorp Hinterland Co-op. Bouwer, who purchased 800L of Engen’s Agritrac Super Universal Oil in November last year, said the prize could not have come at a better time as he was celebrating his birthday on the day of the handover ceremony.

Aimed at the agricultural sector, the Engen Win a Tractor competition ran from September to December 2019.

To qualify, all customers had to do was to buy 400L of product, from their nearest participating co-op.

Zama Dyaphu, Indirect Sales Manager for Engen Lubricants handed over the keys to Bouwer who thanked Engen for the wonderful prize.

“I have long appreciated the quality and reliability of Engen’s products and vow to continue to support Engen in the future, especially because of the support they have given to the agricultural community,” commented Bouwer.

He added that he was looking forward to next year’s competition, so that he could try and win again!

Bouwer, thanked Hinterland Co-op for their continued support and excellent customer service.

Dyaphu acknowledged the essential socio-economic role of agriculture.

“Farmers are an important part of our business and our society, because without farmers we would not have any food,” said Dyaphu. “At Engen we work together with the farming community, to ensure that we provide the support and quality product that they require.”

As a show of support, Engen has a number of other exciting competitions and initiatives for the agricultural community.

Dyaphu congratulated the lucky winner!

“I know that you will put your new tractor to good use,” he added.
