Investment group Vasari will acquire 100% of KWV’s operational assets for R1.15-billion.

Chairperson Vivian Imerman said the acquisition was in line with the investment group’s strategy to build an alcohol beverage group across African and Asian emerging and frontier markets.

He added that Vasari anticipated long-term growth throughout the value chain, delivering significant future opportunities for farmers and staff, as well as local communities.

“With KWV’s collective expertise and our experience in production, distribution and branding, we look forward to extending KWV’s legacy,” he said.
