Location
The Van Gogh field (WA-35-L) is one of three subsea oilfield developments located in the Exmouth basin, off the shore of Western Australia, which tie into the floating production, storage and offloading vessel, the Ningaloo Vision.

Santos.

Project Description
The project will maximise field production, access additional reserves and realise lower unit production costs.

It will involve the drilling and completing of three new horizontal, dual-lateral production wells – Van Gogh, Coniston and Novara – and subsea tieback into existing infrastructure.

Latest Developments
The commitment to long-lead items, including subsea christmas trees and wellhead systems, has been made to achieve the earliest possible startup.

The Valaris MS1 mobile offshore drilling unit has been contracted for the programme, with drilling expected to commence in early 2021.
