The project is located in the commune of Tierra Amarilla, in the northern region of Atacama, in Chile.

Project Description
The project entails the construction of a 123 MWp solar PV plant, which will generate enough clean, renewable energy to supply electricity to about 125 000 homes a year. The plant will comprise 382 000 solar PV panels spread over 360 ha.

The project will be connected to the National Electric System through a small section of the transmission line that connects the step-up substation at a neighbouring project – Río Escondido – to the Cardones electric substation.
