Project Owner/s
Saudi developer ACWA Power. The company signed an extensive heads of terms agreement with Uzbekistan’s Ministry of Energy and State-owned chemical company Uzkimyosanoat in January 2023 to develop a green hydrogen facility and a green ammonia pilot project.
Project Description
The project will be an integrated facility and will be connected to an existing ammonia plant in Chirchiq. It is expected to create 3 000 t/y of green hydrogen. ACWA is also working on the development of a 500 000 t ammonia feasibility study.
