Project Description
The project involves the development of 23 buildings, providing 3 000 student bedrooms and the associated social spaces.
In addition to the main construction and refurbishment works, the project includes new sports pitches, a campus gym, informal learning and social spaces and a new dedicated bus route.
The timber-frame buildings will be equipped with their own energy-production infrastructure, based on a power and heat cogeneration system.
The site will remain in full operation throughout construction.

£117-million.
Duration
The project will be delivered in three phases, with the first phase expected to begin immediately and is scheduled to be completed in September 2014, in preparation for the start of the new 2014/2015 academic year. Each subsequent phase will be completed in time for the start of the following academic year, with the entire project being completed in September 2016.
Latest Developments
The Uliving consortium, which comprises Bouygues Development, a subsidiary of Bouygues Construction, has been awarded a contract to finance, design and build the student accommodation.
