Project Description
The project involves the refurbishment of the Štvanice and Veletov HPPs.

The Štvanice HPP was decommissioned in 1972. The HPP was brought back on line in 1987 following a complete renovation. The renovated plant houses three ‘S’ Kaplan turbines, each with a flow capacity of 55 m3 a second, a head of just 4 m and a stated power output of 1.9 MW.

The project involves the complete refurbishment of the generating equipment at the HPP.

Portions of the existing turbines will be replaced, including the installation of a new runner and distributor. The existing generators will also be rehabilitated.

The Veletov HPP will comprise a new Kaplan PIT turbine with a direct connection to a horizontal synchronous generator. It will have a head of 3.9 m and a flow of 24 m3 a second.

The power plant will have an installed capacity of 848 kW. A new powerhouse, supply turbine, generator and related equipment will be constructed at the Veletov HPP.
