Scatec Solar will be the lead equity investor in the projects. The company will also provide engineering, procurement and construction; operation and maintenance; and asset management services for the power plants.
Project Description
The project entails the construction of the Tozeur (60 MW), Sidi Bouzid (60 MW) and Tataouine (240 MW) power plants totalling 360 MW.
The solar plants are expected to generate about 830 GWh/y, enough electricity to power more than 300 000 Tunisian households a year, and avoid the emission of 480 000 t/y of carbon dioxide.
