PERTH (miningweekly.com) – Trading in the shares of minerals developer Triton Minerals was unexpectedly suspended on the ASX on Thursday as the company went into voluntary administration.

The administrators were working with the company to review its operations and financial position, and to formulate potential strategies to preserve and restructure the company and its operations.

Earlier this month, Triton announced plans to become a graphite concentrate producer within the next 12 months, with the company’s main focus remaining on its Anacuabe project and its Balama North project, in Mozambique.

Triton recently commissioned an independent technical review of its Balama North asset and of its development options, taking into account the potential of the nearby Anacuabe project. The assessment was expected to continue throughout 2016.
