The Project Group Africa  (0.04 MB)

Project and portfolio management specialist. The Project Group Africa is offering public project and portfolio management training based on Microsoft technologies for people who want to advance their skills in this field of specialisation. The training programmes cover the distinct body of knowledge, skills, and strategies relevant to managing multiple projects and programmes.

The training programmes aim to give practitioners advanced project and portfolio management knowledge, helping them to advance their careers, and putting them and their companies in the best position to succeed. “In today’s complex global economy, organisations and individuals are realising the competitive advantage that formal project and portfolio management gives them,” says Pieter Meyer, TPG Africa CEO. “Our training offering provides a prime opportunity for attendees to advance their knowledge and skills in this highly specialised field.”

TPG Africa’s range of two- to five-day training programmes are provided by real practitioners who practice what they preach, adds Meyer. “The advantage of having the opportunity to acquire new knowledge skills with trainers who are working in the field – as opposed to being pure academics – is immeasurable,” he says. “It ensures a level of on-the-job training that imparts expertise way beyond regular textbook learning.” Those who attend the training courses will learn how companies implement Microsoft Project and Portfolio Management Solutions, how to use Project Server and SharePoint for integrated PPM systems and enterprise-wide project controls, and how to develop rapidly deployed, ready-to-run implementations with Project Online. In addition, they will be exposed to multi-project management scenarios. All TPG Africa training is based or benchmarked on best practices in this space. “We urge those interested to keep an eye out for more information on our public training offerings,” says Meyer.
