The project is a discovery in the southern part of the Norwegian sector in the North Sea, about 25 km south-west of the Ekofisk field.

The Tommeliten Alpha partnership (35.11%), Total E&P Norge (39.90 %), Vår Energi AS (12.39%), Equinor Energy AS (7.60 %) and Petoro AS  (5.00 %).

Project Description
The Tommeliten Alpha discovery was proven in 1977.

The reservoir contains a gas condensate fluid and lies at a depth of about 3 000 m, in the Paleocene Ekofisk Formation and Upper Cretaceous Tor Formation.

Latest Developments
Aker Solutions has been awarded a front-end engineering and design (FEED) contract for modifications on the Ekofisk installations to integrate the Tommeliten Alpha discovery off the shore of Norway. The FEED is expected to be completed in the second quarter of 2021, with an estimated value of about NKr130-million.

The contract includes an option for the engineering, procurement, construction and installation work following the completion of the FEED. The option is subject to Norwegian authorities’ approval of the plan for development and operation, and a new award decision by the Tommeliten Alpha partnership.
