PERTH (miningweekly.com) – Gold miner Alkane Resources has met its production forecast during the three months to March, with its Tomingley gold operation, in New South Wales, producing 14 635 oz of gold during the quarter.

Gold production for the March quarter was down slightly from the 16 935 oz produced in the December quarter.

Gold sold for the quarter was 14 635 oz at an average sales price of A$2 437/oz, generating revenue of A$35.7-million, with Alkane saying on Thursday that bullion stocks were 1 235 oz.

Meanwhile, C1 costs for the quarter were reported at A$1 192/oz, up from the A1 089/oz achieved in the previous quarter, while the all-in sustaining cost for the quarter reached A$1 598/oz.

Alkane has maintained the full-year production guidance at Tomingley at between 55 000 oz and 60 000 oz, at an all-in sustaining cost of between A$1 500/oz and A$1 650/oz.

Meanwhile, the company is continuing to progress approvals for the Tomingley gold extension project, which would see it develop the Roswell and San Antonio deposits, south of the Tomingley operation.

Project approval for the extension project is anticipated for mid-2022.
