Melec PowerGen (MPG), a subsidiary of the Matelec Group of Companies.

Project Description
The proposed project entails the greenfield development of an HFO-fired thermal power plant and auxiliary installation, with an installed capacity of 87.5 MW and a guaranteed capacity of 70 MW. The power plant, with 4.5 ha footprint, will be connected to the existing Tobene 220/90 kV substation, which is being upgraded and is located less than 100 m from the project site.

€120-million.

Duration
The project is expected to take up to 18 months to complete.

Latest Developments
MPG has approached the International Finance Corporation (IFC) to act as lead arranger on the project.
