Construction academy Tjeka Training Centre, based in Randfontein, is poised for the training and upskilling of future construction industry artisans, according to the centre. While the anticipated infrastructure boom is yet to happen, Creamer Media journalist Simone Liedtke finds out what the centre is all about.

While the Tjeka Training Centre is intended to focus on construction training, something South Africa is in dire need of as the industry itself is in an embattled position, CEO Frans Toua gives us a little more insight.

Turning more towards the Covid-19 pandemic, he talks us through some of the measures the centre has had to impose, following instructions and regulations as set out by government.
