TSX-V-listed Thor Explorations has reported some more positive findings from drilling on the Makosa Tail and Makosa Bridge prospects at the Douta gold project, in Senegal.

The company has completed wide-spaced drilling over a 1 600 m previously untested gap between Makosa to the north and Makosa Tail to the south.

Thor says results received to date indicate that gold mineralisation is developed within sheared sedimentary and gabbroic host rocks over the strike length of Makosa Bridge, which connect Makosa Tail and Makosa.

Some results from Makosa Bridge include 9 m grading 2.39 g/t gold from 54 m and 8 m grading 2.48 g/t from 31 m.

CEO and president Segun Lawson says gold mineralisation spans a strike length of nearly 7.5 km, while Makosa North is not yet closed off to the north.

“We are looking forward to receiving the last set of results aimed at extending Makosa North, after which we will be working towards a maiden resource at Makosa.”
