Kenblest Group, comprising Kenblest Limited (bakery), McNeel Millers (wheat milling) and Kifaru Industries (maize milling).

Project Description
The project involves the large-scale expansion to increase capacity across Kenblest’s bakery, and wheat and maize milling operations.
The expansion programme will include:
• increasing the capacity of the bakery to 400 000 loaves of bread a day, with a fully automated baking facility, and debottlenecking the plant;
• adding new product lines;
• doubling the wheat flour mill output from the current 150 t/d to 300 t/d and installation of 32 000 t silos; and
• installing a new 150 t/d maize flour mill.

Value
The cost of the project is estimated at $22-million.

Duration
The project is expected to be completed by the end of 2015.
