Project Description
The Post Building is a 29 729 m2 mixed-use, Allford Hall Monaghan Morris-designed redevelopment of the former Royal Mail sorting office.
The building will set a new benchmark for London’s most inspiring workplaces. Comprising about 25 083 m2 of offices and using the unique volume of the existing property originally built in the 1960s, the office space will incorporate 0.40 ha of floorplates; natural light from all sides, private roof terraces to every floor, a 697 m2 rooftop garden with 360º views, floor-to-ceiling heights of up to 6 m, and carefully curated retail, food and beverage amenities.
At lower ground floor level, 470 cycle spaces will be provided, alongside first-class lockers, showers and bike workshop facilities.
The scheme will also incorporate major on-site elements for the public, such as independent and speciality retailers, a doctor’s surgery, public roof space and a cafe, as well as 21 south-facing, double-aspect, affordable apartments.
