PERTH (miningweekly.com) – ASX-listed TerraCom has signed an offtake agreement over its Blair Athol coal operations, in Queensland, with long-time Japanese trading partner.

Under the terms of the agreement, TerraCom will deliver one cargo a month during the offtake term, between August 2022 and August 2023, with each cargo to hold between 76 000 t and 88 000 t.

Total tonnes to be delivered under the agreement would range between 0.78-million and 1.25-million tonnes over the offtake term.

“We are very proud of the team who continue to deliver on production to meet ongoing sales commitments. The finalisation of this offtake agreement has cemented the upcoming coal sales profile for the Blair Athol operation, and represents up to 50% of the annualised coal sales for the operation,” said executive chairperson Craig Ransley.

“We look forward to being able to deliver another solid performance at Blair Athol with a forecast annual run rate of 2.2-million tonnes a year for the financial year ending June.”
