Project Description
The project involves the establishment of a new 150 000 m2, optical-fibre cable manufacturing facility, with warehouse facilities in the Dube TradePort special economic zone, in Durban.

The facility will have a capacity of one-million fibre kilometres a year.

Value
The facility will cost an estimated R100-million to build. The equipment will cost about R150-million.

The facility is expected to become operational by January 2017.

The project broke ground in May this year.
