The facility will be developed on land owned by Bluewaters Farm Holdings in Collie’s Coolangatta Industrial Estate, in Queensland, Australia.

Project Description
The facility will be one of only two Caterpillar auto­nomous training centres in the world.

The investment includes a new fully autonomous Cat 789D off-highway truck, construction of an autonomous operations zone and training room facilities.

Latest Developments
Training is expected to start in May 2020, with the facility expected to train about 204 students during the first year of operation, of this technology in mining, and increasing to 320 students in its third year, delivering training courses to technicians and operators of autonomous equipment and supporting the growth of this technology in mining.
