Project Description
The project entails the construction of a 134-km 132-kV line to add 25 000 new customers to the Tanzania Electric Supply Company's (Tanesco's) network. In addition to the new high-voltage line, Tanecso plans to build 13 new distribution stations and rehabilitate five substations in three regions of the country. Tanesco will also replace 60 000 credit meters with prepaid meters, centralise call centres for Dar es Salaam and install solid state meters with remote metering for 1 800 customers.
