Project Description
Early-stage and limited drilling programmes undertaken to date on the Tampia project to define the established 2012 Joint Ore Reserves Committee- (Jorc-) compliant inferred resource of 310 000 oz gold at a grade of 2 g/t gold have provided considerable encouragement for Explaurum that there is significant exploration upside near the deposit and more regionally.

A scoping study, based on the inferred mineral resource, has shown a strong motivation for the project to progress to the next stage of Explaurum’s exploration and development programme.

The study has clearly established that a standalone operation is the preferred long-term development scenario.

The metallurgical flowsheet design includes primary crushing, milling and classification; flotation and regrind; leaching and adsorption; an elution circuit; and a gold room.

An average metallurgical recovery of 85% was assumed in the study.

A prefeasibility study (PFS) has started and is due to be completed in late 2017.
