The project is located in the Tafilah region of Jordan.

Abour Energy, a subsidiary of Xenel Idustries.

Project Description
The project entails the construction of a 49.5 MW wind farm, which will generate an estimated 131.5 GWh/y (net) for sale to the National Electric Power Company under a 20-year power purchase agreement.

The project will include 15 wind turbines of 3.45 MW each, a 33 kV/132kV substation, a 0.25 km to 0.5 km connection to a new 18 km 132 kV transmission line, an under-ground internal 33 kV grid network and a network of site access roads.

The project is expected to employ about 200 workers at the peak of construction.

The project is estimated at $110-million.

Duration
Construction is expected to start mid-2017 and take about 18 months to complete.
