South African manufacturer and piping solutions supplier Sizabantu Piping Systems (SPS) offers a portfolio of products and services designed for civil, mining, industrial and agricultural applications. Established in 2002, the company operates nationally across nine divisions, as well as boasting a dedicated export division, providing integrated pipeline systems that address both pressure and non-pressure infrastructure requirements.

A core component of SPS’s product range is its advanced plastic piping technologies, particularly PVC-O (TOM500) pipes, which are engineered for bulk water and high-pressure pipeline systems. These pipes incorporate polyvinyl chloride (PVC) technology that enhances impact and fatigue resistance, making them suitable for demanding environments such as municipal water transfer schemes.

Complementing this are uPVC and mPVC pipes, both widely used in water reticulation networks. uPVC pipes offer reliable performance for medium-pressure systems and are available across pressure classes ranging from 4 bar to 20 bar. mPVC pipes provide improved strength and resilience, offering predictable performance in more demanding applications.

SPS also supplies specialised sewer and drainage systems, including multi-layer and solid-wall PVC sewer pipes. These products are designed to meet varying load conditions, with heavy-duty options offering high pipe stiffness for infrastructure projects such as urban wastewater networks.

The company’s high-density polyethylene pipes are designed to be lightweight, corrosion-resistant and capable of withstanding ground movement due to their flexibility. With a lifespan stated to be up to 100 years and strong abrasion resistance, these pipes are widely used in stormwater management, sewerage, mine drainage and landfill applications.

In addition, SPS manufactures borehole casing systems designed for water wells, mine dewatering and geotechnical drilling. The casings feature corrosion resistance, high mechanical strength and precision slotting for controlled water flow, making them suitable for both shallow and deep installations.

Beyond pipes, the company delivers a range of fittings, valves and accessories, including PVC-O fittings designed to maintain hydraulic continuity in pipeline networks, as well as steel pipes, couplings, water meters and fire hydrants.

With ISO 9001:2015 certification and multiple SANS product accreditations, SPS says it delivers quality assurance and performance reliability for multiple engineering applications and infrastructure development projects across Southern Africa, particularly in water management, mining operations and agricultural irrigation systems.

Visit the SPS stand at the Electra Mining Africa expo, running from September 7 to 11, to explore its wider range of solutions.
