Summit to focus on promoting business in Mozambique
Mozambican government officials, investors, mining companies, gas producers, infrastructure developers and agriculture industry players will gather in London from November 4 to 7 at the inaugural Mozambique Investment Summit to discuss ways in which the risks of operating in Mozambique could be mitigated and returns increased.
Foreign investment into Mozambique was driving the country’s economic growth, with large natural resource deposits driving growth in sectors such as real estate and infrastructure, the organisers of the summit, Resourceful Events, said.
"The London summit on investment in Mozambique is a unique opportunity to share the Mozambique development vision internationally, focusing on the efforts undertaken by the government in consolidating the socioeconomic development.
“It also constitutes a space to exchange experiences and best practices related to business environment improvement and business links, which will contribute to create effective entrepreneurial partnerships, taking into account the specific investment opportunities that will be shared," Mozambique Deputy Planning and Development Minister Amélia Nakhare commented.
Nakhare would be one of the presenters at the summit, along with Mozambique Energy Minister Salvador Namburete and Deputy Transport and Communications Minister Manuela Rebelo.
The summit was officially supported by the Mozambique Centro de Promoção de Investimentos, in partnership with capital-raising and mining investment series Mines and Money.
