JOHANNESBURG (miningweekly.com) – Sufficient and sustainable quantities of groundwater will be available to supply the power station at dual-listed Kibo Mining’s Mbeya coal-to-power project (MCPP), in Tanzania, with water, an  independent, integrated water availability study has determined.

Consultants Shangoni Management Services undertook the study to determine sustainable groundwater yields and pit inflows through aquifer testing and numerical flow modelling.

“We are delighted with the outcome of the water availability study and with another work stream completed we are getting closer to concluding work on the MCPP feasibility studies,” said CEO Louis Coetzee.
