Strathy North will consist of 33 turbines, with a total rated output of 67.65 MW. The site is located about 7 km from Strathy village, Sutherland, in an area of commercial forestry plantation.

Latest Developments
The project received consent from Scottish Ministers in November 2011 and construction started in February.
During the first few months, the focus will be constructing the main access track through the site and the spur roads, which lead out to each turbine location.
Construction of the turbine bases will then start, which are expected to be completed towards the end of this year, ahead of the turbine deliveries starting in early 2015, when the erection of the turbines will begin. The turbines will be tested and commissioned in stages before the site becomes fully operational towards the end of 2015.
