Multidisciplinary construction group Stefanutti Stocks has advised in a market update that its current order book stands at R15.3-billion, compared with R13.2-billion in August last year and R8.9-billion in August 2024.

About R1.4-billion worth of work is secured for this year, R8-billion for 2028 and R5.9-billion for 2028 and thereafter.

Additionally, Stefanutti estimates short-term potential awards of R12.5-billion and identified prospects at R144-billion.

The group derives 78% of its contract revenue from private sector projects and 22% from public sector projects, with 88% of all projects being located in South Africa and the balance outside of South Africa.

The group also reiterates that its outstanding facility with Standard Bank has been reduced from an initial loan of R850-million to R250-million by the end of January, thereby reducing the group’s anticipated interest charge relating to this facility by about 70% a year for the financial year ending February 28, 2027.
