Stefanutti Stocks Wins Work At Blackrock Mine Operations And Invests In The Northern Cape
Stefanutti Stocks has secured two projects, with a combined value of approximately R330 million, at the Black Rock Mine Operations, operated by Assmang Limited, which is jointly owned by Assore Limited and African Rainbow Minerals Limited, near Hotazel in the Northern Cape. Willie Meyburgh, CEO of Stefanutti Stocks, commented that these awards were build on the proud tradition the company has established for executing construction projects on this and other mines in the Northern Cape, enabling it to further invest in the local economy and create much needed construction jobs and opportunities for developing enterprises.
The construction scope awarded by Assmang includes the construction of a new winder house and the construction of a circular four quadrant concrete silo, foundations for load out station, product stock pile reclaimer, associated conveyors and related civil works. A number of Stefanutti Stocks Divisions will be collaborating on the projects delivering a fully wrapped solution to Assmang. Stefanutti Stocks Geotechnical will be responsible for the construction and installation of piled foundations to structures and any lateral support that may be required. Stefanutti Stocks Civils will be responsible for all reinforced concrete construction including the construction of a slip-formed 25 meter high silo. Stefanutti Stocks Roads and Earthworks will be responsible for all earthworks which include the construction of platforms, access roads and rail loop bulk earthworks. The projects have commenced recently and will complete in the last quarter of 2014 and the first quarter of 2015, respectively.
