Responsibility for the State Security Agency will now be handed over to Minister in the Presidency Mondli Gungubele, following the dissolution of the Ministry of State Security.

Political responsibility for the State Security Agency will now reside with the Presidency and State Security Deputy Minister Zizi Kodwa will retain his role as Deputy.

Ayanda Dlodlo headed the State Security Agency department before she was returned to the Department of Public Service and Administration.
