Project Description
Enel has been awarded a tender for the construction of 339 MW of solar power capacity in Spain. Once operational, the plants will generate about 640 GWh/y, while avoiding the emission of about 38 000 t of carbon dioxide into the atmosphere.
The plants will sell their energy in the Spanish market, while the Spanish government will provide incentives, by means of yearly capacity payments, to guarantee a steady return over the 25 years of the facilities’ lifetime.
