SouthGobi CFO resigns, successor to be announced

JOHANNESBURG (miningweekly.com) – Mongolia-focused coal miner SouthGobi Resources CFO Bertrand Troiano has resigned following a two-year secondment from mining giant Rio Tinto, which ended on July 31.

Interim chairperson Gordon Lancaster said in a statement that Troiano had done “a remarkable job for SouthGobi in trying times” and added that the board of directors wished him well in his future endeavours.

SouthGobi would announce a new CFO in due course.
