Project Description
The project involves the construction of a new solid-waste disposal facility in Rustenburg, in the North West.
The project will include the excavation and stockpiling of more than 800 000 m3 of clay turf material and other unsuitable soils and rock, as well as the construction of various waste-cell berms and retaining structures, with a volume of more than 500 000 m3. Base preparations will also be constructed using graders and roller compactors, totalling more than 120 000 m3.
More than 1.3-million cubic metres of material will be moved.
