Location
The Sol Real solar PV plant comprises the Caldera Solar (5 MW) and Sol de David (8 MW), which are located in Chiriquí on the western coast of Panama; and Sol Real (11 MW), Milton Solar (10 MW) and Vista Alegre (8 MW), which are located in Coclé in central Panama.
Client
Enel, through its local subsidiary Enel Green Power Panamá (EGPPA).
Project Description
The 42 MW Sol Real solar PV plant will be able to generate almost 70 GWh/y of electricity, equivalent to the yearly power consumption needs of about 33 000 local households, while avoiding the emission of about 60 000 t/y of carbon dioxide.
The energy generated by the 310 860 PV modules of the Sol Real facility will be acquired by EGPPA’s Fortuna hydro power plant.
