Softline participated in the meeting on the occasion of the opening of the sixth BRICS Summit. In particular, company representatives, along with members of the Argentinian business delegation, were invited to the meeting of Vladimir Putin, President of the Russian Federation, Cristina Fernández de Kirchner, President of the Argentine Republic, and José Mujica, President of Uruguay. Participation in the formal dinner allowed Softline to present its services at the highest level.

The sixth BRICS summit took place in the middle of July in the Brazilian cities of Fortaleza and Brazilia. Before the start of the forum, Vladimir Putin, President of Russia made a visit to Buenos Aires, where he conducted negotiations with Cristina Fernández de Kirchner, President of Argentina. Russia and Argentina signed a package of documents strengthening their bilateral cooperation. Afterwards, major business representatives from Argentina and Latin America as a whole, including Softline International top managers, participated in a formal dinner.

All the participants at the meeting expressed their willingness to develop interaction between Russia and Argentina. In particular, Vladimir Putin, President of Russia, expects that the results of negotiations conducted in Buenos Aires will open new prospects for building strategic partner relations between these two countries. Cristina Fernández de Kirchner also urged entrepreneurs of Russia and Argentina «to become strategic partners as well».

“I think that all those Argentinian entrepreneurs that are today here with us, as well as the entire Argentinian business community – representatives of commercial and industrial organizations – understand that Russia provides excellent opportunities for doing business, - said Cristina Fernández de Kirchner, President of Argentina. – We will be actively encouraging the development of our relations in order to make our external trade more diversified”.

Within the framework of this meeting Pavel Novikov, Business Development Director of Softline International, discussed possible cooperation in the field of IT with Nikolai Nikiphorov, Minister of Communications and Mass Media of the Russian Federation, as well as with representatives of state authorities and power companies of Argentina.

He also explained how the activities of Softline International are organized in the territory of Latin America, and paid particular attention to the partnership between governmental institutions and private companies in innovative state projects which greatly rely on Information Technologies. Softline is ready to act as a co-investor and contractor in such ventures.

“In 2014, Softline International has opened representative offices in Brazil and India, and, therefore, we are already providing IT solutions and services in the territory of three BRICS countries. And in summary, our company is working in 27 countries. This year, we have launched the Cloud&Mobility line of business on the basis of Microsoft, VMware, Citrix, IBM and Cisco solutions in Latin America. New services provide private and public sector companies with great opportunities to gain competitive advantages and considerably cut down costs”, - said Pavel Novikov.
