Cape Industries Showcase  (0.06 MB)

International exhibitor interest and support for the Oil and Gas Africa and Maritime & Offshore Marine Africa exhibitions – two of the four component shows of the Cape Industries Showcase continues to surge. A major drawcard for visitors will be the sheer volume of new technologies and high-tech products from around the world on display.  CCTV technology supplier Videotec, already well-known in South Africa’s security market, plans to expand its product, technology and services footprint into industrial sectors. The Italian-based company has announced its participation in the Cape Industries Showcase Expo, which takes place at the Cape Town International Convention Centre from 2 to 4 July 2014.

“We are using the Oil and Gas Africa Expo and Maritime and Maritime & Offshore Marine Africa to find and partner with system integrators, EPC companies, consultants, end users and decision-makers in the oil, gas, and maritime industries,” says Videotec’s marketing and communications manager, Alessandro Franchini. Videotec manufactures a wide range of CCTV surveillance systems, and now offers specialised high-tech products specifically designed to operate under extremely harsh conditions in the oil, gas and onshore and offshore marine sectors.

New Product Launch at CIS

The company will launch its new Ulisse Compact HD integrated pan-tilt-zoom camera at the CIS show. It was successfully launched at the Intertraffic Exhibition in Amsterdam in March. The Ulisse Compact HD cameras feature true high-resolution progressive scanning with advanced image stabilisation; they also offer continuous horizontal rotation with day/night monitoring capability, and can withstand temperatures from -40°C to +60°C. Videotec will also exhibit its heavy-duty fixed and PTZ cameras with ongoing product demonstrations throughout the three days of CIS.

Day-Night Dual Vision and Thermal

Videotec’s rugged PTZ cameras are maintenance free and can withstand the extremely harsh and highly corrosive conditions usually found in offshore and onshore marine applications, industrial operations and even road tunnels. They have a high IP66 weatherproof rating for total protection and operational integrity. “The Videotec range includes systems with day/night cameras, dual-vision solutions and thermal imaging cameras for monitoring even in total darkness, fog, rain, heavy smoke or long distance,” says Franchini. “An additional benefit is that our cameras are very easy to install due to the pre-wired multipolar cables supplied with all the units.

Ex Certified Safety

All Videotec’s products and service are Explosive certified, which means they meet the requirements of the European Union directive for equipment used in potentially explosive environments, such as mining and gas industries. Such equipment may not create sparks or heat that could ignite ambient flammable substances.   “Security surveillance is an essential component of all business today and Videotec has the technology, expertise and solutions to make it effective, so please do visit us at the Cape Industries Showcase,” concludes Franchini.

John Thomson, organiser of the massive CIS show, says the major interest from African countries in Oil and Gas Africa and Maritime & Offshore Marine Africa is that these shows facilitate access for international companies into African markets.
