SKF announced the introduction of a new high-load, food-grade grease known as LGFQ 2.

Suitable for heavy applications such as mills and presses in the food industry, this grease uses a polyalphaolefin-based oil in combination with calcium sulphonate thickener and is registered as NSF H1. Furthermore, LGFQ 2 is certified as Halal and Kosher.

SKF LGFQ 2 has a wide temperature range from -40 °C to +140 °C, enabling its use during different seasons and in various working conditions.

Furthermore, it has outstanding pump ability, facilitating its use with a centralized lubrication system in order to optimise consumption and minimise risks associated with manual lubrication.

In addition, LGFQ 2 has excellent mechanical stability, preventing the grease from leaking out of the application, and very good corrosion protection and water resistance, helping to extend the life of bearings subjected to such contaminants.
