WIKA’s FRKPS chain hoist test set is designed to enable the reliable and efficient testing of the friction clutch on a chain hoist.

The solution consists of a force transducer with chain adapters and a display unit. To perform the test, the force transducer is inserted into the chain and moved upwards against the base of the chain hoist to block the chain.

The force transducer is built as a shear beam, so it is unaffected by parasitic forces and torques, and the output signal is carried by means of a cable to the hand-held indicator. To test every kind of chain hoist in the specified load range, the user will need two chain adapters and three centering sleeves.

The additional digital hand-held display unit is equipped with all the necessary functions to process the output signals of sensors and display the measured value directly. The large dot-matrix display is designed to make handling easy. The FRKPS is housed in a robust aluminium case and includes a hand-held indicator, force transducer, 3 centering sleeves, 2 chain adapters, charger, and a 10 m cable.

WIKA notes that it is the sole manufacturer of this comprehensive solution for chain hoist testing.
