Project Description
The project involves the construction of a new modern integrated pulp mill in the Krasnoyarskiy region of Russia.
The pulp mill will produce northern bleached softwood kraft pulp, bleached hardwood kraft pulp and dissolving pulps. The overall capacity will be 900 000 t/y. The mill will be self-sufficient in heat and electrical power. Construction will be completed by 2019.
The Siberwood project has been evaluated as a priority project by the Administration of the Krasnoyarskiy region.
For the production of about one-million tons of finished products, the mill will consume about five-million cubic metres of low-grade wood that is currently unused in the region.
