Project Description
A strong business case has been confirmed for Sibanye-Stillwater’s proposed solar PV projects at its South African PGM operations.

The three projects, on suitable sites adjacent to Sibanye-Stillwater’s operations, comprise an 80 MW project at the Rustenburg operation, a 65 MW project at the Marikana K4 operation and a 30 MW project at the Marikana smelter and base metal refinery.

Off balance sheet – the developer will be responsible for the capital and management of the facilities, with offtake agreements secured with Sibanye-Stillwater.

Commercial operation is targeted for the first half of 2025.
