Name of the Mine
Séguéla mine.

Location
The Séguéla mine is located in the Worodougou region of the Woroba district, in Côte d’Ivoire.

Mine Owner/s
Fortuna Silver Mines.

Brief Description
The Séguéla mine comprises the Antenna, Koula, Agouti, Boulder, Ancien and Sunbird deposits, which will be mined using openpit methods.

However, there are more than 30 highly prospective targets in the 62 000 ha land package.

Brief History
Séguéla poured its first gold on-time and on-budget in May 2023, and consequently became Fortuna’s fifth operating mine.

Primary Metals/Minerals
Gold.

Secondary Metals/Minerals
None stated.

Geology/Mineralisation
The Séguéla mine is located within the Paleoproterozoic (Birimian) Baoule-Mossi Ddmain of the West African craton.

Two cycles of volcanism/sedimentation are recognised within the Birimian rocks of the Baoule-Mossi domain, each followed by a period of orogenesis, and together described as the Eburnian Orogeny, which is dated at about 2.19 to 2.08 giga-annum. Rocks of the Baoule-Mossi domain are primarily polyphase granitoids, and volcano-sedimentary sequences forming granite-greenstone terranes.

The first cycle of sedimentation and orogenesis (Eburnian 1) is described by the accumulation of volcanic and volcaniclastic rocks; then subsequently intruded by early stage granitoids. Following a period of uplift and erosion, the Eburnian 2 cycle is described by the filling of intramontaine basins, with predominantly arenaceous sediments of the Tarkwaian Series.

Reserves
Total proven and probable reserves as at December 31, 2022, were estimated at 12.1-million grading 2.8 g/t gold.

Resources
Total measured and indicated resources as at December 31, 2022, were estimated at 7.07-million tonnes grading 2.3 g/t gold. Inferred resources were estimated at 5.71-million tonnes grading 3.33 g/t gold.

Type of Mine
Openpit.

Mining Method
Conventional openpit mining methods. Drilling and blasting are planned for oxide, transitional and fresh ore and waste, followed by conventional truck-and-shovel operations within the pits for the movement of ore and waste.

Major Infrastructure/Equipment
The mine is located near existing infrastructure, including grid power, transport, and water resources. It includes a processing plant; a mine services area; a tailings storage facility; sediment control structures; water supply, storage and sewage facilities; mine access and haulage roads; administration and plant buildings; and accommodation camp, among other facilities.

Prospects
None stated.
