Global in-vitro diagnostic company SD Biosensor Co., Ltd on November 15, 2022, donated a total of 600 diagnostic kits, including for Covid-19 and HIV/Syphilis diagnosis, to the Sediba Hope Medical Centre.

The non-profit organisation provides medical services to the citizens of Tshwane with the vision of contributing to a healthier society. The diagnostic kits will be used to detect and prevent the spread of Covid-19 and HIV in the local community.

According to the South African National Statistics, South Africa has the highest HIV/AIDS cases in the world, and around 13.7% of the total population is estimated to be living with HIV.

SD Biosensor is a growing global diagnostic company with established corporations in seven locations worldwide, including India, Indonesia, China, the US, Brazil, Germany, and Italy.

“I hope this donation will assist with resolving the difficulties of the medical vulnerability in South Africa,” said SD Biosensor team leader Derek Lee.

“We will continue to actively contribute to society for those in need of help,” he added.

“Thank you to SD Biosensor for your valuable help. We will use the donated diagnostic kits for the health of the citizens of Tshwane,” enthused Sediba Hope Medical Centre CEO Vanessa Hechter.
