Dual-listed South African energy and chemicals group Sasol this week marked a decade since listing on the exchange that boosted its investment growth.

The group’s NYSE listing made it possible for Sasol to access the US capital market.

The group was currently undertaking the front-end engineering and design of a $16-billion to $21-billion integrated gas-to-liquids project and a world-scale ethane cracker, in Louisiana, the US.

It was said to be the largest foreign investment in Louisiana's history.

Sasol's shares trade in the form of American Depositary Receipts (ADRs) and listed at $10.73 apiece. One Sasol ADR is the equivalent to one Sasol ordinary share traded on JSE.
