Safety shield offers full face protection
A new flip-up face shield offering front and side face protection, is now available.
The shield is designed to offer full personal protection of the facial area, preventing splashes, sprays and spatter of body fluids onto the mucous membranes of the eyes, nose and mouth.
It is particularly suited for use by retailers, cashiers, medical, dental and veterinary staff, security guards and personnel in service industries, such as receptionists.
Features of the Tork Craft Essential B7700 flip-up face shield include:

- All-round protection
In addition, the face shield does not restrict breathing or impact on the wearing of prescription spectacles or other eye-wear. The unit does not impede facial, non-verbal or voice communication and may aid dialogue with people with hearing loss.
The shield is said to be easy to clean and disinfect by spraying it with an alcohol-based sanitizer and wiping it with a disposable paper towel.
The shield is manufactured from injection-moulded 400 micron virgin polyethylene terephthalate (PET), the head band is made of polypropylene and the foam strip is waterproof and non-absorbent. The manufacturer states that all material is safe for human contact and fit for use by children and adults and that all plastic components are recyclable.
Each pack includes two rubber straps, one PET face shield, a headband set and foam strip and a full set of instructions, all individually sealed in a bag for safety.
