Shareholders in Arizona Gold and Golden Predator have overwhelmingly approved the companies’ business combination, paving the way for the transaction to close upon court approval next week.

Under the terms of the arrangement, all the issued and outstanding shares of Golden Predator will be exchanged for common shares of Arizona on the basis of 1.65 common shares of Arizona for each common share of Golden Predator.

Current Arizona shareholders and former Golden Predator shareholders would own about 55% and 45% of the combined company common shares, respectively.

Arizona also announced a proposed name change to Sabre Gold.

Through the transaction, Arizona gains the past-producing Brewery Creek mine, in Yukon.
