The Board of Directors of SAB Zenzele Kabili Holdings Limited (“SAB Zenzele Kabili”) yesterday announced that it would be paying a cash dividend of 45 cents per share to all shareholders by 26 June 2023. SAB Zenzele Kabili, a public company listed on the BEE segment of the JSE was established in 2021 to facilitate broad-based black ownership in SAB through the scheme’s shareholding in the global brewer Anheuser-Busch InBev (“AB InBev”).

SAB Zenzele Kabili being a shareholder of AB InBev, received a total amount of R77 million, based on the 5 105 685 shares it holds in AB InBev. Taking into account the applicable debt repayments and with tight operating cost management, SAB Zenzele Kabili was able to declare a dividend of R0.45 per share from the dividend income it received from AB InBev.

Over 50 000 black shareholders, which include retail partners and employees participate in SAB Zenzele Kabili, share in the performance of the world’s largest brewer AB InBev which includes its operations in South Africa through SAB which produces brands such as Carling Black Label, Castle Lager and Flying Fish. The AB InBev Group also produces global brands such as Corona and Stella Artois beers worldwide.

The scheme will engage beneficiaries to ensure they receive their dividends; and encourages all beneficiaries with any queries to engage on the following platforms:

Retail and SAB employee shareholders are encouraged to contact JSE Investor Services Call Centre on 0861 900 903 or email empl.retail@jseinvestorservices.co.za
